Digital Torque Privacy Notice
Effective date: 2 July 2026
1. Who We Are
Digital Torque provides software products for small businesses, including 1st Line and Powervault Local Monitor. You can contact us at hello@digitaltorque.co.
2. What 1st Line Accesses
1st Line connects to a customer-owned Microsoft 365 tenant after an administrator signs in with Microsoft and grants permission. Depending on the features used, the app may display staff names, email addresses, group memberships, licence status, SharePoint site and folder permissions, shared mailbox access, device details, audit information and BitLocker recovery-key metadata.
3. Microsoft Administrator Passwords
1st Line uses Microsoft sign-in and MFA. It does not store the Microsoft administrator password.
4. Local Storage
1st Line stores setup details, Microsoft sign-in cache, product licence status, install identifier, Secure Records data and temporary password records locally on the customer PC. Sensitive Secure Records data is encrypted using Windows protection where available and may also be protected by a local vault password.
5. Licence And Billing Data
Digital Torque may process limited licence and billing information including customer name, email address, tenant domain, product, licence key, subscription status, active-user count, installation identifier, Stripe customer/payment identifiers and product version.
6. How Information Is Used
Information is used to provide the software, activate and validate licences, support customers, improve reliability, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations and process payments or subscription status.
7. Sharing
Digital Torque does not sell customer data. We may share limited information with service providers needed to operate the product, such as payment, hosting, email, logging or support providers. Microsoft 365 data remains within the customer tenant unless the customer chooses to send information to Digital Torque for support.
8. Customer Control
Customers control the Microsoft 365 tenant, Microsoft permissions, app registration, licence activation and local Secure Records data. Customers can remove the app, revoke Microsoft consent, remove local stored data or contact Digital Torque for help with licence records.
9. Retention
Local records remain on the customer device until removed by the customer or the app. Licence and billing records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and prevent fraud.
10. Security
Digital Torque uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. Customers remain responsible for securing administrator accounts, Microsoft 365 permissions, local PCs, backups and access to Secure Records.
11. Contact
